Focus Aesthetics grew out of two optometry practices, bringing our passion for helping people see their best to helping them look and feel it too.

Our story

It started with dry eye.

Optometrists spend their careers looking at the eye and the skin immediately around it. Treating dry eye brought intense pulsed light and radiofrequency into our clinics — and those are the same technologies that treat sun damage, redness and skin laxity.

Focus Aesthetics is what happened next. Rather than send patients elsewhere for treatments we already owned the equipment and the training for, we built a dedicated aesthetics practice inside both clinics.

The advantage is real and specific. When a treatment happens within millimetres of the eye — a plasma blepharoplasty on the lid margin, IPL along the upper and lower lids — you want it done inside a practice whose entire training is centred on that anatomy.

We will tell you no

If a treatment will not give you what you are hoping for, or if surgery would serve you better, we say so at the consultation. We would rather you trusted our advice than booked a treatment that was never going to work.

Ocular Hygienist & Certified Optometric Assistant

A Certified Ocular Hygienist and Optometric Assistant with over five years at Sherwood Park Eye Centre.

Holly consults on and treats dry eye with intense pulsed light and radiofrequency, and assists Dr. Randhawa with specialty contact lens fittings. She also runs cosmetic consultations and is one of the people to ask about skincare.

She is one of two team members who perform intimate-area laser hair removal.

Outside the clinic she crafts, crochets, reads and works through a lot of puzzles — and spends as much time as possible with her cats.

Ocular Hygienist

A Certified Ocular Hygienist specializing in radiofrequency and IPL — for dry eye and for cosmetics.

Lesley treats dry eye and delivers cosmetic IPL and radiofrequency, and is one of our skincare specialists. She also works with the optical team on frame and lens fittings.

She is currently training on Plexr Plus and will begin performing treatments once that is complete.

Outside the clinic she is an artist, painting in oil and acrylic and making leather jewellery, and spends her time cooking, baking and at home with her family.

Medical Aesthetician

A certified Medical Aesthetician and Ocular Hygienist with over 25 years of medical experience.

Iryna treats dry eye with IPL and radiofrequency, and runs our full skin menu at Lendrum — micro-needling, chemical peels and facials built around your skin rather than chosen off a list.

She is one of two team members who perform intimate-area laser hair removal, and is currently training on Plexr Plus.

Originally from Ukraine, skincare has been her craft rather than her job for most of her career — and it shows in how much time she will spend getting a routine right for you.

Plexr Plus treatments are currently performed by Dr. Randhawa and Dr. Shivji — all of them, not only the blepharoplasties. More of the team are in training and will begin performing them once that is complete.
