A large treatment window and a chilled tip, so big areas go quickly and comfortably.
What it is
DiolazeXL uses a diode laser tuned to the pigment in the hair shaft. The energy travels down to the follicle and disables its ability to regrow, while a large sapphire cooling surface holds the skin around it comfortable throughout. The combination is what makes larger areas practical — a full back or both legs is a realistic single appointment.
It works on the same principle as our IPL: light absorbed by pigment, converted to heat, targeting the structure we want to treat while leaving the surrounding skin alone. That shared physics is why a clinic already running IPL for skin and dry eye is a natural home for laser hair removal too.
Hair grows in cycles, and a laser only affects follicles that are actively growing at the moment of treatment. That is why a course is always needed: each session catches a different portion of the cycle. Most people see meaningful reduction after three sessions and are largely finished after six to eight.

What to expect
We confirm your skin and hair type are suitable and patch test before a first full treatment.
Shave the area the day before. Do not wax, pluck or use depilatory cream for four to six weeks beforehand — the laser needs the follicle intact to find it.
An extra small area takes minutes; full legs closer to an hour. The cooling tip makes it far more comfortable than older systems.
Mild redness around the follicles for a few hours. Avoid hot tubs, saunas and sun for 48 hours.
Six sessions four to six weeks apart is typical, then occasional top-ups. Packages of six are priced well below single sessions.

Questions
It is permanent reduction. Treated follicles do not regrow, but hormones can activate new ones over time, so most people have an occasional maintenance session.
Not reliably. The laser targets pigment, so dark hair responds best and white, grey and very fine blonde hair may not respond at all. We will tell you at your consultation if your hair is unlikely to respond.
Most people find it very tolerable — a warm snap, cooled immediately by the sapphire tip. Bony and intimate areas are more sensitive.
Yes, the day before. But stop waxing, plucking and depilatory creams four to six weeks beforehand — the follicle has to still be there for the laser to find.
