Skin health
The groundwork. Treatments that keep skin healthy between the bigger interventions — and often make them work better.
What it is
A facial at a medical clinic is a different proposition from a spa facial. We use professional-strength actives, we know what they will do to your skin barrier, and we choose them based on an assessment rather than a menu. That might mean a gentle hydrating treatment, or a medium-depth peel that will visibly flake for several days.
The full peel and custom facial menu is at Lendrum Eye Centre, where Iryna, our Medical Aesthetician, treats full time. Sherwood Park offers a focused selection — the hydrating facial, the Carboxy gel mask and the Refresh Cleanse — so if you want a chemical peel, microdermabrasion or a facial built around your skin specifically, Lendrum is the clinic to book.
Peels work by removing the outermost layers of skin in a controlled way, prompting faster cell turnover and more even pigment underneath. Microdermabrasion does something similar mechanically. Both are excellent preparation for, and maintenance between, laser and radiofrequency treatments.
Concerns

What to expect
A skin assessment, and a clear conversation about downtime. A medium peel is not something to book two days before an event.
For deeper peels we may ask you to prepare the skin at home for two weeks beforehand, and to pause retinoids.
Thirty to sixty minutes. Peels tingle and warm; facials do not. We finish with SPF regardless of the season.
Superficial peels: mild flaking for two to three days. Medium peels: visible peeling for five to seven days. Facials: nothing at all.
Results hold far longer with medical-grade products at home. Lendrum carries AlumierMD; Sherwood Park carries SkinCeuticals.

Questions
For a chemical peel, microdermabrasion or a facial tailored to your skin, book Lendrum Eye Centre — that is where our Medical Aesthetician works and where the full menu lives. Sherwood Park covers the hydrating facial, the Carboxy gel mask and the Refresh Cleanse.
A carboxytherapy mask that drives carbon dioxide into the skin, prompting a rush of oxygen-rich blood to the area. Skin looks brighter and plumper immediately, with no downtime. Ours includes a cleanse beforehand and products to take home.
A short professional cleanse. It is $99 on its own, or $75 when you add it to a dry eye treatment — which is how most people have it.
That is what the consultation decides. Depth is chosen from your skin type, your history and how much downtime you can accept.
Usually you will need to pause it for several days beforehand. Bring your current products to the consultation.
